Top US Envoy Visits Pakistan to Show Support for Swat Valley Offensive Against

The US State Department has announced [Monday, June 1st] that envoy Richard Holbrooke heads to Pakistan this week to examine the humanitarian crisis as civilians flee fighting in the Swat valley. The special representative to Pakistan and Afghanistan will be in the region from June third to fifth and will be accompanied by officials from the State Department, USAID and the Pentagon.
